Kennel Cough disclaimer
Kennel Cough is a fairly common and highly contagious
respiratory disease in dogs.
Even in a scrupulously clean environment like Pineview's kennels, this distressing
illness can strike.
It is impossible to safeguard against Kennel Cough. It has a three day incubation
period, so dogs that appear perfectly healthy when entering the kennels may
be carrying one of the viruses that cause the problem.
We strongly urge every owner to vaccinate their dog against Kennel Cough but
we also understand that even vaccination isn't necessarily 100 per cent effective.
Although it is an unusual occurrence, Pineview Kennels has been - and can be
- affected by Kennel Cough. Our staff work very hard to eradicate the illness
but it takes time.
There can be costs involved to everyone following an outbreak of Kennel Cough.
Unfortunately, due to the arbitrary nature of the illness, we and our insurers
can no longer accept responsibility or liability for any costs owners may incur.
This does not interfere with your statutory rights.
